حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِذَا حَضَرَتْ الصَّلَاةُ ، وَحَضَرَ الْعَشَاءُ ، فَابْدَءُوا بِالْعَشَاءِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the time for dinner and the time for prayer come together, then eat the food first.
