حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ , وَعَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهُ كَانَ : " يُدْرِكُهُ الْفَجْرُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَغْتَسِلُ وَيَصُومُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha and Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with them) that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be in a state of janabah in the morning without having seen a dream, by his own choice, and he would complete his fast.
