حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسٍ ، أَوْ سَبْعٍ ، لَا يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُنَّ بِكَلَامٍ ، وَلَا تَسْلِيمٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform Witr with seven or five rak‘ahs, and he would not separate them with salam or speech in any way.
