Hadith 26616

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ : إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ ، قَالَ : " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ نَزِلَّ أَوْ نَضِلَّ ، أَوْ نَظْلِمَ أَوْ نُظْلَمَ ، أَوْ نَجْهَلَ ، أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيْنَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would leave the house, he would recite this supplication: In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah. O Allah! We seek refuge with You from slipping or being led astray, or committing injustice or being wronged, or behaving ignorantly or having ignorance shown to us.
