حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , وَعَفَّانُ , وَبَهْزٌ , قَالُوا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ ضَبَّةَ بْنِ مُحْصِنٍ ، قَالَ : عَفَّانُ , وَبَهْزٌ الْعَنَزِيِّ , عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ , أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ ، تَعْرِفُونَ وَتُنْكِرُونَ ، فَمَنْ أَنْكَرَ ، سَلِمَ ، وَمَنْ كَرِهَ ، بَرِئَ ، وَلَكِنْ مَنْ رَضِيَ وَتَابَعَ " , فَقَالَ : أَلَا نَقْتُلُهُمْ ؟ فَقَالَ : " لَا ، مَا صَلَّوْا " , وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ : فَمَنْ عَرَفَ ، بَرِئَ , وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ : أَلَا نَقْتُلُهُمْ , وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، وَقَالَ عَفَّانُ وَبَهْزٌ : إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ ".
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon there will come some rulers whose habits you will find some good and some objectionable. So whoever objects to the bad, he will be free of responsibility, and whoever expresses dislike will remain safe. However, the one who is pleased and follows them (his ruling is different). The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, should we not fight against them?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "No, as long as they establish prayer among you."
