Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I said to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that today I performed the Zuhr prayer in the valley of Batha behind a foolish old man, and he said "Allahu Akbar" twenty-two times in one prayer. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "May your mother weep for you! This is the Sunnah of Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him)."
