حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , يَقُولُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ : " إِنَّ الَّذِي يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي لَهُوَ الصَّادِقُ الْبَارُّ " , اللَّهُمَّ اسْقِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying to his pure wives: "After me, whoever shows kindness to you will surely be a truthful and righteous man. O Allah, give Abdur Rahman bin Awf to drink from the water of Salsabeel in Paradise."
