Abu Jamrah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I used to keep the unruly crowd away from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), but for some time I could not go. Later, when I was present in his service, Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked me the reason for not coming for so many days. I submitted that I had a fever. Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fever is the effect of the heat of Hell, so cool it with the water of Zamzam."
