حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَمَّا يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ ، فَقَالَ : حَدَّثَتْنِي إِحْدَى النِّسْوَةِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يَقْتُلُ الْحُدَيَّا ، وَالْغُرَابَ ، وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ ، وَالْفَأْرَةَ ، وَالْعَقْرَبَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar that once someone asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah, after entering into Ihram, which animals are we allowed to kill?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "There is no harm in killing five kinds of animals: scorpion, mouse, kite, crow, and rabid dog."
