It is narrated from Hazrat Hafsa that in the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Prophet (peace be upon him) instructed his noble wives to come out of the state of Ihram. Someone submitted in the presence of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah, what is this matter that people have come out of their Ihram, but you have not come out of the Ihram of your Umrah?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "In fact, I had tied the necklace around the sacrificial animal and had applied oil to my hair, therefore I cannot come out of Ihram until I have completed the Ihram of Hajj."
