Hadith 26403

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ السُّبَيْعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا الْكَوْثَرُ ؟ قَالَتْ : " نَهَرٌ أُعْطِيَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بُطْنَانِ الْجَنَّةِ , قَالَ : قُلْتُ : وَمَا بُطْنَانُ الْجَنَّةِ ؟ قَالَتْ : وَسَطُهَا , حَافَّتَاهُ دُرَّةٌ مُجَوَّفٌ " .
Abu Ubaidah bin Abdullah says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) what is meant by "Kawthar"? She replied that it is a river which has been given to the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the "Batnan of Paradise." I asked what is meant by "Batnan of Paradise"? She replied, the middle of Paradise, and on both its banks will be hollow pearls.
