حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى وَحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ , قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ كَانَ أَعْجَبَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَتْ : " كَانَ يُحِبُّ الدَّائِمَ , قَالَ : قُلْتُ : فِي أَيِّ حِينٍ كَانَ يُصَلِّي ؟ قَالَتْ : كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ الصَّارِخَ قَامَ , فَصَلَّى " .
Masruq says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "Which deed was most beloved to the Prophet (peace be upon him)?" She replied, "That which is done consistently." I asked, "At what time during the night did the Prophet (peace be upon him) stand (in prayer)?" She replied, "When he heard the crowing of the rooster."
