حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً , وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a thorn prick or a calamity even less than that, Allah raises his rank by one degree and forgives one of his sins in exchange for it.
