حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ , عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ , عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ , عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ , قُلْتُ : أَخْبِرِينِي بِشَيْءٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو بِهِ لَعَلِّي أَدْعُو اللَّهَ بِهِ , فَيَنْفَعَنِي اللَّهُ بِهِ , قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكْثِرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا عَمِلْتُ , وَمِنْ شَرِّ مَا لَمْ أَعْمَلْ " .
Furwah bin Nawfal says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the supplication of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so she said that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the evil of those things which my soul has done and which it has not done.
