حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبَّادٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا بَعَثَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ فِي فِدَاءِ أَسْرَاهُمْ , بَعَثَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي فِدَاءِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بِمَالٍ , وَبَعَثَتْ فِيهِ بِقِلَادَةٍ لَهَا كَانَتْ لِخَدِيجَةَ , أَدْخَلَتْهَا بِهَا عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِ حِينَ بَنَى عَلَيْهَا , قَالَتْ : فَلَمَّا رَآهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , رَقَّ لَهَا رِقَّةً شَدِيدَةً , وَقَالَ : " إِنْ رَأَيْتُمْ أَنْ تُطْلِقُوا لَهَا أَسِيرَهَا , وَتَرُدُّوا عَلَيْهَا الَّذِي لَهَا , فَافْعَلُوا " , فَقَالُوا : نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَأَطْلَقُوهُ , وَرَدُّوا عَلَيْهَا الَّذِي لَهَا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the people of Makkah sent ransom to free their captives, the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) daughter Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) also sent wealth for her husband Abu al-As bin Rabi’, among which was the necklace that belonged to Hazrat Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) and which she had given to Hazrat Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her) at the time of her marriage to Abu al-As. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw this necklace, he was deeply moved and said, “If you deem it appropriate, release Zainab’s captive and return the wealth she has sent to her.” The people said, “Yes, O Messenger of Allah!” So they released Abu al-As and returned Hazrat Zainab’s necklace to her.
