Hadith 26278

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ , عَنْ سُفْيَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حُسَيْنٍ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ مُعْتَكِفًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةٍ , قَالَتْ : فَغَسَلْتُ رَأْسَهُ وَإِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ الْعَتَبَةَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in i'tikaf, he would only come home due to a human need, and he would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would wash it while there was the door frame between me and him.
