ومن مسند بني هاشمFrom the Musnad of Banu Hashim
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَاMusnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 2623

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ النُّكْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَفَّارَةُ الذَّنْبِ النَّدَامَةُ " , وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ لَمْ تُذْنِبُوا ، لَجَاءَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِقَوْمٍ يُذْنِبُونَ لِيَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The expiation for sin is remorse," and he said: "If you do not commit sins, Allah will create a people who will commit sins so that Allah may forgive them."
