Hadith 262

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْفُضَيْلَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْكَلَالَةِ ، فَقَالَ : " تَكْفِيكَ آيَةُ الصَّيْفِ " ، فَقَالَ : لَأَنْ أَكُونَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِي حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ .
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about kalalah, so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The verse about kalalah that was revealed in the summer is sufficient for you." Asking the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this issue was more beloved to me than acquiring red camels.
