حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ قَتَادَةَ , عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى , عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا أَوْتَرَ , صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed Witr, he would offer two rak'ahs while sitting.
