حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , قَالَ : اعْتَلَجَ نَاسٌ , فَأَصَابَ طُنُبُ الْفُسْطَاطِ عَيْنَ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ , فَضَحِكُوا , فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ تَشُوكُهُ شَوْكَةٌ , فَمَا فَوْقَهَا , إِلَّا حَطَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةً , وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whenever a Muslim is afflicted with a thorn prick or any hardship even less than that, then in return, one of his ranks is elevated and one of his sins is forgiven.
