حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ " .
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for anyone who has died for more than three days, except for her husband.
