حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ , عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ , عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ , فَنَزَلْنَا الشَّجَرَةَ , فَقَالَ : " مَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُهِلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُهِلَّ بِحَجَّةٍ " , قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : فَأَهَلَّ مِنْهُمْ بِعُمْرَةٍ , وَأَهَلَّ مِنْهُمْ بِحَجَّةٍ , قَالَتْ : وَكُنْتُ أَنَا مِمَّنْ أَهَلَّ بِعُمْرَةٍ , فَأَدْرَكَنِي يَوْمُ عَرَفَةَ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ , فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " انْقُضِي رَأْسَكِ , وَامْتَشِطِي , وَذَرِي عُمْرَتَكِ وَأَهِلِّي بِالْحَجِّ " , فَلَمَّا كَانَ لَيْلَةُ الْحَصْبَةِ , أَمَرَنِي , فَاعْتَمَرْتُ مَكَانَ عُمْرَتِي الَّتِي تَرَكْتُ .
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, we set out with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I put on the Ihram for Umrah, and I did not have a sacrificial animal with me. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) announced that whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should also put on the Ihram for Hajj along with his Umrah and should open both Ihrams together. I was menstruating, so on the night of Arafah I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I had put on the Ihram for Umrah, what should I do now for Hajj?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Undo your hair and comb it, leave the Umrah and perform Hajj." When I completed the Hajj, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered Abdur Rahman, so he took me to Taneem and had me perform Umrah in place of the first Umrah.
