حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ , عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الْبَهِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهَا : " نَاوِلِينِي الْخُمْرَةَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ " فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي حَائِضٌ , فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ حَيْضَتَكِ لَيْسَتْ فِي يَدِكِ " .
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Pick up the mat from the mosque and give it to me." I said, "I am in my days (i.e., menstruating)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Your menstruation is not in your hand."
