It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a woman came to her, and with her were her two daughters. She (Aisha) gave the woman a date, and she (the woman) broke the date into two pieces and distributed them between her two daughters (and did not eat anything herself). Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned this incident to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever is tested with these daughters and treats them well, they will become a shield for him from Hell.
