حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ , عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , وَكَانَ يَأْتِي بِصَوَاحِبِي , فَكُنَّ إِذَا رَأَيْنَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْقَمِعْنَ مِنْهُ , فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَيَّ يَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I used to play with dolls, my friends would come and join me in play, and as soon as they saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) coming, they would hide. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would then send them back to me and they would start playing with me again.
