حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , وحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : قَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُتَوَفَّى وَأَنَا مُسْنِدَتُهُ إِلَى صَدْرِي , يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي , وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from this world occurred while he was resting against my chest. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, and join me with the Highest Companion.
