Hadith 25939

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي , وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should say, "My soul has become impure," but he may say, "My heart has become hardened."
