حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ , حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُهَاجِرٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ , عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ , أَنَّ السَّائِبَ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ , فَقَالَ : إِنِّي لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ إِلَّا جَالِسًا , فَكَيْفَ تَرَيْنَ ؟ قَالَتْ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ جَالِسًا مِثْلُ نِصْفِ صَلَاتِهِ قَائِمًا " .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Saib once asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "I can only pray while sitting, so what is your opinion?" She replied, "I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that the reward for praying while sitting is half of the reward for praying while standing."
