حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ , قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ , قَالَ : قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، وَأَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ " أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ , وَقَالَتْ : إِنَّمَا نَزَلَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْزِلًا أَسْمَحَ لِخُرُوجِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha that staying at the place of "Abtah" is not a Sunnah, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) stayed there only because it was easier to depart from that side.
