حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجْنِبُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ , ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ , وَلَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes ghusl (ritual bath) would become obligatory upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would sleep without touching water.
