حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ , وَأَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ , عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ , عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , مِثْلَهُ , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ , مَا سَمِعْتُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ أَبِي , عَنِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ وَطَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ , رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ أَيْلَةَ , قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ : قَالَ أَصْحَابُ الْحَدِيثِ لَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْكُوفَةِ , إِنَّمَا هَذَا عَنِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ , عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , يَعْنِي الْعُمَرِيّ , فَقُلْتُ لَهُمْ : امْضُوا إِلَى أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ , فَإِنَّ سَمَاعَهُمْ بِالْكُوفَةِ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ , فَذَهَبُوا فَأَصَابُوهُ.
Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, he said: I heard Ubaydullah ibn Umar, and Malik ibn Anas informed us, from Talhah ibn Abd al-Malik, from al-Qasim, from Aisha, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: This is a rare hadith from Yahya ibn Sa'id; I have not heard it except from my father, from Ibn Numayr and Talhah ibn Abd al-Malik, a man from the people of Aylah. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: The hadith scholars said: This is not in Kufa; rather, this is from Ibn Numayr, from Ubaydullah, meaning al-Umari. So I said to them: Go to Abu Khaythamah, for their hearing in Kufa is only from Ibn Numayr. So they went and found him.
