حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ , عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ : ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَفِيَّةَ , قَالَتْ : فَقُلْنَا : قَدْ حَاضَتْ , قَالَتْ : فَقَالَ : " عَقْرَى حَلْقَى , مَا أُرَاهَا إِلَّا حَابِسَتَنَا " قَالَتْ : فَقُلْنَا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , إِنَّهَا قَدْ طَافَتْ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ , قَالَ : " فَلَا إِذًا , مُرُوهَا فَلْتَنْفِرْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned Hazrat Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), we informed him that her "days" (menstruation) had begun. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "These women cut and shave (i.e., delay and hinder), will she force us to stay?" We said, "O Messenger of Allah! She performed the Tawaf al-Ziyarah on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then there is no harm, now you may depart."
