Sharik Harithi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) whether the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to go to the villages. She replied, "Yes! The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to go up to those mounds. Once, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) intended to go to a village (forest), he sent a messenger to the animals of charity and granted a she-camel from them on which no one had yet ridden. Then he said to me, 'Aisha! Fear Allah and make gentleness obligatory upon yourself, for gentleness beautifies whatever it is in, and when it is taken away from something, it makes it ugly and defective.'"
