حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ , حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ , عَنْ الْحَسَنِ , قَال : َقَالَ رَجُلٌ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَة : َمَا كَانَ يَقْضِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُسْلَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ , قَال : َ " فَدَعَتْ بِإِنَاءٍ حَزَرَتْهُ صَاعًا بِصَاعِكُمْ هَذَا " .
A man said that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "How much water was sufficient for the Prophet (peace be upon him) for ghusl (ritual bath) after janabah?" Upon this, she called for a vessel. I estimated it, and it was equal to one sa’ according to the present measure of sa’.
