Hadith 25706

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once a Jewish woman came to us and said, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave." She (Aisha) says that this matter settled in my heart. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came, I mentioned this incident to him and asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Is there punishment in the grave as well?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Yes! People are punished in their graves, which is heard by beasts and animals."
