حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرَّةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ يَتَجَوَّزُ فِيهِمَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would wake up at night to pray, he would begin the prayer with two light rak'ahs.
