Hadith 25674

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُصِيبُهُ الْجَنَابَةُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ ، فَيَغْتَسِلُ بَعْدَمَا يَطْلُعُ الْفَجْرُ ، ثُمَّ يُتِمُّ صِيَامَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that if during the night ghusl (ritual bath) became obligatory upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and he intended to fast, he would complete his fast by performing ghusl after the break of dawn.
