حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : اخْتَصَمَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَالَ : " فَهُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدُ بْنَ زَمْعَةَ ، الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once, regarding the son of the slave woman of Zam‘a, ‘Abd bin Zam‘a (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Sa‘d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) brought their dispute to the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O ‘Abd! This child is yours; the child belongs to the owner of the bed, and for the adulterer there are stones.
