Hadith 25640

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the passing of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from this world took place in my house, on the day of my turn, between my chest and throat. That day, Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr came, and in his hand was a fresh miswak. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used the miswak with such excellence that I had never seen him use it in that manner before. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hand to give it to me, but the miswak fell from his hand, and he said, "O Allah, [with] the Highest Companion," and at that moment the blessed soul of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) departed. In any case, all praise is due to Allah that in the last moments of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) life, He united my saliva with his.
