Hadith 25622

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ . وَوَكِيعٌ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، " أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ جَاءَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ فَلَا أَطْهُرُ أَفَأَدَعُ الصَّلَاةَ ؟ قَالَ وَكِيعٌ قَالَ : " لَا ، قَالَ يَحْيَى لَيْسَ ذَلِكَ الْحَيْضُ ، إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ عِرْقٌ ، فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتْ الْحَيْضَةُ ، فَدَعِي الصَّلَاةَ ، فَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ ، فَاغْسِلِي عَنْكِ الدَّمَ وَصَلِّي " . قَالَ يَحْيَى : قُلْتُ لِهِشَامٍ : أَغُسْلٌ وَاحِدٌ تَغْتَسِلُ وَتَوَضُّؤٌ عِنْدَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ.
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once Fatimah bint Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "My menstrual bleeding continues all the time." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This is not menstruation, it is blood from a vein. Therefore, during the days of menstruation, leave the prayer, and after that, perform ghusl and do wudu for every prayer and offer the prayer, even if drops of blood fall on the mat."
