Hadith 25574

Masruq says that I asked Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about a man who sends a sacrificial animal (hadi) towards the Kaaba and appoints a sign with the person taking it, ties a collar around its neck, and remains in the state of ihram until the people become halal (come out of ihram)? Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: I used to twist the collars of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) sacrificial animals with my own hands. While she was narrating this hadith, I heard the sound of her hands from behind the curtain. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) would send it (the animal) and would stay among us as a non-muhrim (not in the state of ihram) until the people returned.
