حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى نَاشِئًا مِنْ أُفُقٍ مِنْ آفَاقِ السَّمَاءِ ، تَرَكَ عَمَلَهُ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِيهِ " ، فَإِنْ كَشَفَهُ اللَّهُ ، حَمِدَ اللَّهَ ، وَإِنْ مَطَرَتْ ، قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a cloud rising at the edge of the sky, he would leave every task, even if he was in prayer, and would supplicate: "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from its evil." When it cleared, he would express gratitude, and when he saw rain falling, he would say: "O Allah! Let it be heavy and beneficial."
