حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا حِضْتُ يَأْمُرُنِي فَأَتَّزِرُ ، ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُنِي ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَهُوَ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَنَحْنُ جُنُبَانِ ، وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ إِلَيَّ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ ، وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me, I would tie my lower garment even though I was menstruating, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would place his body against mine. It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) of janabah from the same vessel of water. It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would observe i'tikaf and would extend his head out from the mosque, and I would wash it even though I was menstruating.
