حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَحْسَنُوا اسْتَبْشَرُوا ، وَإِذَا أَسَاءُوا اسْتَغْفَرُوا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: O Allah! Include me among those who rejoice when they do good deeds, and if they commit a sin, they seek forgiveness.
