Jubair bin Nufair says that once I was present in the service of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she asked me, "Are you reciting Surah Ma'idah?" I replied, "Yes!" She said, "This is the last Surah to be revealed, so whatever you find lawful in it, consider it lawful, and whatever is declared unlawful in this Surah, consider it unlawful." Then I asked her about the character of the Prophet (peace be upon him), so she replied, "The Qur'an."
