It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah "which are related to usury" were revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited them before the people and also declared the trade of alcohol to be forbidden.
