حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ فَيُخَفِّفُهُمَا ، حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَشُكُّ أَقَرَأَ فِيهِمَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ أَمْ لَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the (Sunnah of Fajr) so briefly that I would wonder, "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even recite Surah Al-Fatihah or not?"
