Hanzalah Sudusi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I said to Ikrimah that I recite the Mu'awwidhatayn in Maghrib, but some people find fault with me for this. He said: What is wrong with that? You can recite these two surahs because both of them are part of the Qur'an. Then he said that Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated this hadith to me: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and prayed two rak'ahs in which he did not recite anything except Surah Al-Fatihah.
