Hadith 25467

It is narrated from Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pass away until women were made lawful for him. Benefit: In fact, this refers to the verse of Surah Al-Ahzab in which it was stated that it was no longer lawful for you to marry more women; later, this restriction was lifted. This hadith of Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) refers to this matter.
