حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ خَالَتِهِ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلَا أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حَدِيثٌ عَهْدُهُمْ بِالشِّرْكِ لَهَدَمْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ " ، فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ.
Bahz narrated to us, he said: Salim ibn Hayyan narrated to me, he said: Sa'id narrated to us, he said: I heard Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrating from his maternal aunt Aisha, she said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "If it were not that your people have only recently left disbelief, I would have demolished the Ka'bah," and he mentioned the meaning of the hadith of Ibn Mahdi.
